Married/Single: Married 31 years to the love of my life!

Kids: Amanda, a Math Teacher in Denver, CO. and Adam, a Senior at ASU/WP Carey in Supply Chain Management.

City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

up early, exercise, devoting my time to recruiting for my consulting business. I support all local sports teams….go D-Backs and Cardinals and CUBS, (my wife is from Chicago).

I was born…

in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but only there long enough to be born. I’m a broadcast brat, as my Father and my Grandfather were GMs of TV stations. My Grandfather put the first colored signal on the air! I have 8 siblings and we moved 14 times during my childhood due to my dad being in the TV business.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is the vast number of things to do and the great weather, which seems to put people in a good mood. Love that I can be in the Valley in beautiful weather, and then drive 2 hours and be 30 degrees colder and skiing on a mountain!

I’m listening to…

all different kinds of music, Jazz, Country, Rock and Roll and Oldies. Anything that makes me want to boogie!

My family…

is the most important part of my life!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my Father and Father-in-Law who both passed away too soon and not too long ago.

One thing I cannot live without…

my family!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a pilot in the Air Force.

I’m inspired by…

new innovations and technology.

The one person who motivates me is…

my wife, Cammy. I don’t know of a person with a bigger heart or who works harder at everything she does!

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

for people to stop and think about how their actions and words can affect other people.

The perfect day would be…

waking up next to my honey with a view of the beach or the mountains, brunch out in the open air then off on a hike, exploring new territory until we can capture a beautiful sunset. Hoping my 14 year-old dog has the energy to join us!

My first job was…

as a maintenance man and camera man at a TV station.

My favorite escape…

in a power boat on a lake with water as smooth as glass.

My life…

is a blessing from God that I appreciate every day.

I’m currently working on…

finding a permanent marketing position with a great organization or adding to my consulting business with a couple clients that need my expertise to help them grow their business.

Always…

be kind and take time to enjoy the moment.

Never…

judge others too quickly or forget to be grateful for what you have in life!

Favorite Quote…

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in the stone monument, but what is woven into the lives of others” Pericles

Biggest Dream…

to ride horses on the beach on a sunny afternoon with all my grandkids (one day in the future as neither of my kids are married yet!)

My Pet Peeve(s)…

One thing I cannot live without…

The one person who motivates me is…

my mom who departed when I was 17. Her impact is still vibrant and alive in me today, her presence palpable, and I want her to be proud of me. The other “one person” are my children.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

replacing hate with love.

The perfect day would be…

My first job was…

retail clerk at age 5, waiting on customers at my mom’s little hardware store, cleaning, stocking shelves and getting to play “Christmas” as we sold trimming accouterment (I’m Jewish so it’s Hanukah for us.)

My life…

is blessed and rich in what matters, like a great family who’s close and connected, respect from those I admire, and my life is a journey of discovery, passion, achievement, and helping humanity.

a book entitled, “Famous Moments with Famous People” (I’ve interviewed 2,000 + celebrities), a global video project for Pepsi / Gatorade, Integrity Summit 7, and being a better human being.

Always…

treat everyone with respect and dignity, lift up and don’t put down, live by integrity, tell your loved ones you love them, always find the high ground.

Never…

cheat, hurt or exploit others, take the last Morning Bun from Lux Coffee unless you’ll be blazing out of town before I can catch you.

Favorite Quote…

Married/Single:  Single

Kids:  No

City you live in:  Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

coffee, food, music, owls, headbands, more headbands

I was born…

in Fairbanks, Alaska.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

palm trees and sunsets.

I’m listening to…

“Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats” on Pandora.

My family…

is very loving and supportive.  Huge shout out to my parents Roy and Barb – I love you both so much!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

James Franco.

One thing I cannot live without…

coffee, and also coffee.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

Templeton “Face” Peck on The A-Team.

I’m inspired by…

Dapper Dan, a fashion designer in New York City, who, from 1982-1992, owned/operated a boutique in Harlem creating street-wear fashion repurposed from luxury-designer materials (e.g., Gucci, LV, MCM, etc.).  Dapper Dan created his own niche fashion lane from scratch, which resonates with my vision for MCA.  He was ultimately sued by the luxury brands, albeit with his design-styles having since been incorporated by those same brands!  Dapper Dan’s inspiring story is featured in CNN’s 2015 fashion documentary “Fresh Dressed” – it’s a must see for anyone interested in the history of popular fashion.

The one person who motivates me is…

Blake Mycoski.  “Start Something That Matters” is the story of how Blake, with lots of help along the way, created TOMS shoes.  It’s packed with inspiring discussions about entrepreneurship and philanthropy.  A theme throughout the book is the value of building a talented team that believes in the core ideas of a business, appreciates each other, and sticks together.  Almost all of the people who started out with TOMS in the beginning are still part of the company today, with their respective roles having changed/expanded over the years with continued success.  That’s how I envision MCA growing.  Another theme throughout the book is the value of building meaningful partnerships with like-minded businesses and organizations – joint ventures to achieve mutual goals, helping each other succeed.  Phoenix Fashion Week’s mentoring partnership with MCA through the Emerging Designer Bootcamp is a perfect example of that theme – we greatly appreciate this incredible opportunity to learn and build a better brand!

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

legalization of having a pet owl.

The perfect day would be…

wearing a cool headband while hanging out with my pet owl.

My first job was…

catching crawdads at City Park Lake in Denver and selling them as “pets” to kids on my block.

My favorite escape…

it’s a tie: Lake Powell houseboat trips + beach-house on Outer Banks of North Carolina.

My life…

is full of happiness – it’s an amazing feeling to have passion for what I do every day!

I’m currently working on…

succeeding in the Phoenix Fashion Week Emerging Designer Bootcamp!  Building a better brand!

Always…

be humble.

Never…

have an ego.

Favorite Quote…

“I am doing this” – Nick Woodman, Founder/CEO of Go-Pro.

Biggest Dream…

for MCA to become the most successful fashion headband brand in the world

My Pet Peeve(s)…

Age: 28

Title: Musician at St. Nick & The Sounds, VP of RenewPHX, Music Director at Grace Community Church

Married/Single: Married to Libby Anderson for 1.5 years

Kids: None

City you live in: Tempe, AZ

A typical day in my life includes…

writing and recording music in my office, programming music for either a gig, Sunday morning service, or a new St. Nick & The Sounds track. Scattered throughout my day are meetings, some admin work (which I probably failed to try and get someone else to do), and lots of listening to music. At the end of the workday, I’ll go home for dinner and depending on the night, head off to a night meeting, a gig, or just binge watch Netflix with Libby. We are huge fans of The Office. I’ve seen it at least 8 times all the way through.

I was born…

in Portland, OR. In many ways it is the opposite of Phoenix, lush and green, but usually wet and grey skies. Although I do miss my family at home, Phoenix is where my heart is.

My favorite thing about Arizona is…

the community of people I do life with. Phoenix has really become my home, even though I am not from here, it’s been almost 10 years since I first moved to the valley. I made most of my closest friends my freshman year at ASU. We’ve watched each other go through many milestones like career changes, marriages and soon, raising families. Life in community is awesome!

I’m listening to…

Lucifer’s Eyes by TOLD and Caribbean Queen by Billy Ocean the last few days. They’ve been on repeat. I often listen to a song and try to understand what elements make each song really pop. I love the steel drums in Lucifer’s Eyes and the Yamaha CS80 synth used in Caribbean Queen. One of my favorite bands, Vulfpeck, released their album The Beautiful Game last year and it has been a go to of mine lately. They are so funky and fresh in everything they do.

My family…

lives in rural Oregon. Both my wife and I grew up in the country and we love getting into open country and forest, hiking up to waterfalls or lookouts when we visit the great Pacific Northwest.

If I could have dinner with anyone it would be…

definitely Brian Wilson. I am a huge Beach Boys fan. My wife and I went to see him perform the 50th anniversary of Pet Sounds last year at the Celebrity Theater, and it was an incredible experience. Even though he is aging in his career, you can still see and hear the sparkle of creativity in Wilson’s elegant expression. I dream of making an impact on music the way he has.

One thing I cannot live without…

my lil’ wife. I’d be alone and no one would get any of my lame jokes.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a singer. Dreams really do come true! I envisioned myself singing before massive crowds of people, performing and entertaining all over the world. I started taking lessons when I was 8. I remember singing soprano arias by Bach as a boy tenor and I loved it! I never practiced as much as I should have, but I ate slept and breathed music. I had gnarly ADHD growing up and the only things I could pay attention to was listening to preaching on a Sunday morning (ironically) and listening to music. In junior high, I would put on my big ass headphones and Walkman and drown out everything else. I sang all through high school in choirs and musicals, festivals and singing competitions, and when I graduated I went to ASU to study opera. Unfortunately, the ADHD kicked in and I lost my scholarship, so I dropped out and started a band. The band didn’t work out, but we moved our efforts to starting RenewPHX, a worship gathering in central Phoenix. I ended up going back to school and finishing my degree in music at GCU in 2014. Ever since, I have been playing gigs, writing music, and leading worship at various churches around the valley.

I’m inspired by…

people who search for truth and beauty in a way that really reflects excellence. So many talented artists and musicians, teachers and preachers exist. There’s so much in the world to be learned and understood. Erwin McManus in his book, The Artisan Soul poses this question: “Who is an artist? Anyone who has a soul”. From scientists and mathematicians to painters and actors, we are all born with the gift of creativity. The most extraordinary piece of work is our own life. That is a beautiful thing. Being a follower of Jesus, I naturally love the story of a Creator so in love with his creation that he himself comes to earth to save it, but I also think it’s not just church people who hear and feel the passionate heart of God. I think there are plenty of people that wouldn’t call themselves “church people” who capture the beautiful essence of true love. A lot of times, I think they paint a clearer picture of grace than christians do. I am inspired by what is beautiful, excellent, and good.

The one person who motivates me is…

honestly, God. Disclaimer: I’m not one to push religion on people, I think it’s tacky and inauthentic. Open and vulnerable conversation about what each other believes and finding mutual understanding, is so much more important. That being said, I really admire Jesus. I love the stories in the Bible where he partners with people even though a lot of the time they’re just as screwed up or confused as I am. Their stories evolve, they begin to find their identity through relationship with Jesus. I love stories of people being given a second chance and the opportunity to grow and become truly who they were made to be. I get really excited encouraging and empowering people towards their destiny. There’s just something so brilliant about seeing how God made others. When I see the world through his eyes, I love more, which leads me to creating more too.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

making cargo shorts illegal. No actually one uses that much storage in a pair of shorts.

The perfect day would be…

spent in Disneyland, open to close. My wife and I did our honeymoon there and it was literally (insert Chris Traeger) the most magical week of my life.

My first job…

was as a janitor at Rainbow’s End Preschool when I was 12. It sound’s like there should be gold or leprechauns somewhere in there, but it was more like cleaning up little turds…

My favorite escape…

is either on a beach somewhere in the sand, watching live music, or the creek by my parent’s house. There’s something really soothing about running water.

My life…

has a lot of The Office jokes scattered throughout it.

I’m currently working on…

fine tuning my songwriting and producing skills.

Always

make time for yourself. Keeping your sanity is important to being sane.

Never

give up on the things that make you passionate about being alive.

Favorite quote…

is currently “Beware the lollipop of mediocrity; lick it once and you’ll suck forever.” – Brian Wilson

Biggest dream…

is to write, tour and play music on an international level while serving as a resource for creatives to find self-love and identity. I’ve always loved music and helping people run after their dreams. It’s easy to get caught up in all the fame and popularity of the entertainment industry and I want to create a safe place where celebrities or whoever feel safe to be themselves and not used for their gifts and talents.

Pet peeve…

is ignorant political posts on Facebook. Unfortunately, no one’s ever changed their political view based on my awesome POTUS memes. Also, chewing with your mouth open.

Married/Single:  married to a wonderful man who is a filmmaker (Oscar winner mong other awards), we work together. We’ve been working on preparing our film/photo studio where we will be focusing on fashion films as well as on other film forms. I’m doing my fahion photoshoots here and other fashion events.

Kids: nope, looks like my Art is my Kid.  Well, does cat counts? He has very human name : Maciek ( Magic)

City you live in: Vail/Tucson 85641. Over 2 years ago I’ve moved here with my husband and our cat form Europe, Poland. We’ve found this beautiful ranch outside the town among trees and saguaros where I’ve created my fashion atelier.

A typical day in my life includes…

morning good coffee, watching my cactuses grow (what a view!), emails,  working on my designs, projects, talking-writing with my clients…

I was born…

in Poland.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

I’ve seen Arizona in the movies, and now I’m living here. This is an amazing adventure. I’ve already seen the rest of the world. I’ve traveled around Europe, lived in Athens/Greece for a few years, and now it’s time for exploring Arizona. I’m so glad that life presented this opportunity to me. After heavy European winters, the climate of Arizona is like a blessing!

I’m listening to…

Jazz from 60’s, Hip Hop, Chopin… it really deepens on the project I’m working on.  Music can be inspiration or destruction.

My family…

has been very supportive in whatever I do.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

I think I would love to have a little chat with Anna Wintour.

One thing I cannot live without…

good coffee and …good kaffe. Oh! and also good kawa. Having friends and family is also something I would never give up.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

an artist, a painter.  When I was little girl, in primary school, I painted like crazy, mostly watercolors and acrylic, then oil. The obvious choice for me was to follow my instinct, so I went to an art-profiled high-school, where as a teenager I learned about composition, colors, light, shade, golden ratio, history of art, etc. Besides painting, I also enjoyed sculpting and then later on I was torn between painting and sculpting when choosing my specialization. Eventually, I graduated multimedia departments at two Academies of Fine Arts in Gdansk/Poland and  Athens/Greece.  After graduating, I have worked in Greece in film, video and digital art area for more than 10 years. I have always been interested in clothing. Even in primary school I was designing my own clothes. Back then, I was lucky to work with a very talented seamstress – my mother’s friend – who saw my ideas and taught me a lot. Later, I made my prom dress, then  my wedding dress… and generally my everyday clothes. For me clothing design is like editing a movie or painting, you are just using different material. Designing is is all about idea, color, composition, texture and pattern, this is all about art. The only difference is that you can actually  wear what you have made 😉 That’s why I love fashion design. Because I couldn’t find clothes I liked in the stores with everything looking pretty much the same, sometimes badly made and most of all, boring. I found the gap in “uniqueness”. All my life I’ve been creating art and I’ve been loving fashion therefore I created: Theo Doro – The Art of Fashion.

I’m inspired by…

emotions of motion pictures, fairy-tales, history of art, nature and life itself.

The one person who motivates me is…

I motivate myself mostly, but when I’ve have my moments of doubts, my husband is there for me, he is the one who kicks my butt to carry on.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

character and attitude of some bad people I know, people who destroy other people’s life for no real reason whatsoever. I hate corruption and self-centered politicians.

The perfect day would be…

to see mine and my husband’s plans realized. Which is to create Open Art Space…. Like I mentioned before, along with my husband Zbig Rybczynski, we’ve moved from Europe to Arizona last year. He is a really great filmmaker, inventor, computer programer, Emmy, Oscar, MTV winner and many other prestigious awards. We work together. We found this beautiful location in Vail-Tucson where we plan to create a space where art, science and life become one. A place where we can cooperate with talented people. Arizona is filled with so many interesting musicians, designers, filmmakers, actors, models, photographers, scientists and technologists. So far in Tucson we met many people who we have had great pleasure working with.  From the beginning we have wanted to make special-effects fashion films…

My first job was…

when I was 16, I got my first payable job to design and paint images of horses on the walls of an old stable. The owner of stable wanted to turn it into a pub. It was fantastic job. I had total freedom with designing and painting on 3 meter high walls. I earned good money for my art while a the time, I was already a student of an art-profiled high school.  No, wait! that was my second big job. My first job was plying french horn in Child-Teenage Brass Orchestra, this was fun. I was around 12 years old and we were traveling around Poland playing concerts and on top of it they were paying us, crazy, right?

My favorite escape…

riding a bike, I just love, love wondering the streets of either a city or the wild west.

My life…

is fantastic. I cherish it every day.

I’m currently working on…

my new collection SS18. The Beauty and The Twist collection is inspired by unique nature of Tucson desert and Whimsical Night Fairies. The collection will be shown at Phoenix Fashion Week. My Theo Doro brand was chosen as a finalist (Top 15) to participate in the Emerging Designer Bootcamp 2017 (July –September). This leads up to Phoenix Fashion Week’s premier showcase at Talking Stick Resort, 5-7 October 2017. A lot of learning, fun, and loving every minute of it!

Always…

be truthful to yourself, do what your gut tells you, otherwise you will be unhappy.

Never…

give up!

Favorite Quote…

“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”

So true, because no matter how hard and honest you work on achieving your goals, there is always possibility that someone or something will wreck your plans… But sometimes it turns out for the best, don’t give up and have your eyes wide open.

Biggest Dream…

to keep developing my goals.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

mosquitoes, flies and dishonest officials.

Theo Doro will be showing her designer collection during Phoenix Fashion Week at Talking Stick Resort October 4 – 7, 2017. Phoenix Fashion Week is the leading fashion industry event in the Southwest bridging the gap between national and international designers, premier retailers and top fashion media garnering global exposure for Arizona’s fashion industry.

Title: Founder, CEO of Bracket Dating

Married/Single: Single. So single that I founded my own dating app to find a date.

Kids: Proud mother of one very hairy, slightly stalky, four-legged baby boy. A French bulldog named Napoleon.

City you live in: Desert nomad

My day is like…

handing a toddler an open container of glitter. Its unpredictable, messy, fabulous and sparkly all at the same time.

I was born…

to be wild, but only until about 9:30ish.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is that we have the common sense not to go on Daylight Savings time. #locktheclock

I’m listening to…

a business-related audio book, I try to fit one in every week. The Virgin Way by Richard Branson is one of my favorites. I find audio books motivate me more than music although some of life’s greatest questions have come to us from music, “What you gon’ do with all that junk? All that junk inside your trunk?” Hmmmmm, good question.

My family…

is my support system and rock. They give me the encouragement I need when I am down and they are also not afraid to take me down a few notches if I ever get too full of myself.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Richard Branson. He’s just cool, has great vibes and an awesome book. I love that he takes big risks and always manages to incorporate fun.

One thing I cannot live without…

wine. When I combine wine and dinner does it makes me a “winner?”

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

older. I wanted to get a job, make money and move into my own place so I could live independently.

I’m inspired by…

all entrepreneurs who go all in on a goal, dream, vision or passion. I am also inspired by the person who thought grating cheese was too hard and invented pre-shredded cheese. I haven’t bought a block of cheese in years.

The one person who motivates me is…

the single girl with ambition. I wake up every morning inspired by those ladies knowing that my dating app might help one find a fabulous partner to share her gifts with.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

eliminate the hate. Just imagine where we could be as a global community if all the effort we put into hate, fighting and war was re-directed into innovation and technological advances.

The perfect day would be…

today. Today is one more day that I get to spend on this little speck of dirt that is zooming around the universe. Nobody really knows what it means, how it ends or why we are here, but that’s the beauty of it: enjoy the now.

My first job was…

Old Navy. I can still fold a shirt better and faster than anyone I know.

My favorite escape…

is a long hike through the desert, followed by dessert and of course a glass of wine.

My life…

is the only one I will ever have, so I try to make the most of it.

I’m currently working on… compiling all my dating stories from the last 6 years. Dating is hard and I want everyone to know that we all suffer through the awkward, uncomfortable and embarrassing moments. You are not alone.

Always…

Go for it and try.* You will never regret having tried. You might stumble, you might fall, but its going to be a lot less painful than living with regret and “what ifs?”

*Don’t try meth, you will probably regret that.

Never…

compromise your integrity.

Favorite Quote…

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford

Biggest Dream…

is to inspire others to take big risks, chase down your goals and attempt the impossible. You never know what you are capable of until you try.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

pruney fingers. You know, when the tips of your fingers turn into little wet half raisins. My friends find it hilarious to chase me around with their mutant fingers after a day at the pool or river. Just, ew.

More about Whitney…

Bracket was founded by seasoned entrepreneur Whitney Linscott. After being single for 6 years and exploring every dating app known to mankind she was frustrated and determined to develop a better dating app. She wanted to make one that was not only fun to use, but very effective in making a meaningful match.

Bracket’s goal is to make you always feel like a winner. Whether you’ve been chosen as a winner for another user’s bracket, or you get a chat back from your own bracket winner of the day, it feels great knowing impersonal, unconscious swiping was not involved.

Bracket is currently looking for college brand ambassadors to further the app’s mission on college campuses. Students will be able to learn firsthand marketing experience by finding exciting ways to implement a growth strategy for downloads at select schools.

Title: Owner of Scottsdale Integrative Acupuncture, but you can call me ‘bruja blanca’ – a nickname I picked up in Peru while serving on a medical mission. Acupuncture truly seems magical sometimes!

Married/Single: Married

Kids: No

City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

being woken up at 5am by our hungry cat, Diego Rivera, sipping coffee, then going to yoga. Afterwards, I check the latest medical literature and read some case studies before heading to the clinic. Often times I will see patients until late in the evening, so my husband and I end up making dinner around 9pm! Fortunately, he thinks I’m a really good cook because he’s so hungry by the time we are finished cooking.

I was born…

in the Emerald City.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is that there are so many active people here! I see a lot of patients with back or shoulder pain – and they are always so eager to get rid of the pain so they can continue to their active life of hiking, golfing, yoga, crossfit, etc.

I’m listening to…

Spanish news podcasts – I’m trying to improve my Spanish skills in mi tiempo libre.

My family…

is large, eclectic, and wonderful. And they let me stick them with needles!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Elizabeth Gilbert – I was hooked when I watched her 2009 TED talk about finding your inner creative genius. Watch it – I promise, you won’t be sorry.

One thing I cannot live without…

sunscreen, of course! I’m constantly reminding my patients that being careful about UV exposure is the #1 thing they can do to prevent signs of aging.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

an astronaut…and a veterinarian, and the President. Oh, yeah I also wanted to be the President’s veterinarian. Aim high, they told me.

I’m inspired by…

my patients; they are always so curious about how acupuncture works and want to know more. I love sharing this ancient medicine with them and watching their surprise after I put a few needles in their leg and their shoulder pain goes away.

The one person who motivates me is…

my husband – he has my back 100%.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

to make self-care mandatory. So often I see patients come in with conditions that could have been easily avoided with just a little bit of preventative care.

The perfect day would be…

sleeping late, going to yoga, having brunch with friends, finding a great hiking spot, then making dinner and enjoying a bottle of wine with my husband.

My first job was…

a teller at Bank of America. I was in high school and the teller next to me was robbed, so my mom made me quit. Safety first!

My favorite escape…

is a book – the hallmark of a really good book is that it can transport you to another place.

My life…

is beautiful, amazing, and full of love – exactly how I want it to be!

I’m currently working on…

developing online courses and workshops to expand my reach and educate people about Chinese principles of nutrition, anti-aging, and pain management.

Always…

trust yourself. And wear sunscreen.

Never…

compare yourself to others.

Favorite Quote…

don’t tell people how hard you work, show them your results

Biggest Dream…

to make a difference in the lives of others.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

stray shopping carts in store parking lots. I’m always going out of my way to wrangle them into the cart corral so they don’t dent people’s cars.

More about Constance…

is the hiking. My husband is an avid hiker, and our favorite local hike is Camelback Echo trail. Our daughter made it to the top on Thanksgiving when she was five years old. It was her first mountain she conquered. It holds a special place in our heart. We pop in/out of the little caves off the trail.

I’m listening to…

Lindsey Stirling, my favorite instrument is the violin, although I enjoy a wide variety of music. I can be caught dancing in my kitchen to Latin music or doing ballet with my daughter in our living room. If we are out, I never leave the dance floor.

My family…

is my heart and joy!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my grandmother. She past away when I was young. A night with my grandmother, mother, and daughter cooking together would be priceless.

One thing I cannot live without…

morning cuddles.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a doctor.

I’m inspired by…

my mother. She showed me you can be a business owner, wife, and mother.

The one person who motivates me is…

my daughter! She is my purpose to making the world a better place. I am inspired to show her the importance of helping others. We grow from serving.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

hate. There is no purpose in allowing hatred into our hearts.

The perfect day would be…

spent at the rock gym climbing with my husband and daughter; it’s a family activity we do together. Then cooking a fabulous dinner and enjoying a great bottle of Dumhol with friends and family.

My first job was…

working for my mother. She owned two businesses.

My favorite escape…

swimming.

My life…

is incredible!

I’m currently working on…

health and wellness programs for corporations. We have found that ten-minute chair massagesreduces employee absenteeism by 25%.

Always…

A typical day in my life includes…

waking up in the wee hours to do some cardio to wake my mind up and get my head clear for the day. Knock out an hour of work and emails before getting my boys up and off to school. Head to my gym where I spend a few hours doing the day to day business operations, then several hours training clients one on one in person, then email program and diet updates to my online clients. Work with my prep competitors choregraphing fitness routines, finish the day with any meeting or calls to wrap up business tasks. Then get my boys to baseball & soccer practice, then homework, family time, bedtime and repeat!

I was born…

at a really young age….LOL J in Jackson, Mississippi

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the amazing weather, the picture perfect sunsets and unlimited outdoor activities when it’s less than 100 degrees outside of course.

I’m listening to…

hip-hop or anything with a good dance beat and high energy that just makes ya wanna move.

My family…

is my everything. My 2 boys are my entire world and nothing is better than hearing their laughter and seeing their sweet happy faces.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my dad and two brothers. Since my mom passed away a couple years ago our family gatherings are of course different and to avoid the sadness whenever we all get together we focus so much on all the kiddos and making sure they’re all enjoying every moment with each other. But that doesn’t leave hardly any time for the adults to sit down uninterrupted and truly catch up and share everything that’s going on with one an0ther. I’ve very lucky to have such an incredible dad and older brothers that I would soak up as much time with them as I could.

One thing I cannot live without…

DONUTS?

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a football player. I idolized my two older brothers and wanted to be just like them and this was their sport. I didn’t realize that football was a sport for guys at my young age so this was a goal for two years when I was little.

I’m inspired by…

those who overcome difficult or devastating situation and still find ways to cope and rise above and keep a smile on their face because they can focus on the good when the bad tries to take over.

The one person who motivates me is…

my competition. I wont allow myself to be outworked by other athletes.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

to stop bullying. It has become far too common and frequent and social media has opened up the doors for aggressive cyber bullying by kids who don’t realize the impact their words have.

The perfect day would be…

vacationing on a tropical beach relaxing with my family and having zero cell reception so that I can’t work no matter what and my kiddos can’t jump on any electronics. Quality time the old school way.

My first job was…

a summer job as the mascot of Pistol Pete’s Pizza (now Peter Piper Pizza) and I had to dress up in a full body bear costume that weighed a ton, was hotter than you could possibly imagine with no ventilation and I had to stand on the corner of the intersection dancing around in the 110 degree heat to advertise for the restaurant.

My favorite escape…

a beach – I love the sounds and relaxation of the ocean and I could watch it for hours. But I won’t dare get in it. But there’s nothing better than being in its presence.

My life…

I love discovering my own stupid human tricks. I have mastered crossing one eye while the other stays straight and I’m currently working on the finger Wiggle Waggle…wiggling my index finger without moving any other fingers. Apparently this isn’t that hard for others, but I’ve broken my fingers so many times that it’s very difficult for me but I’m going to get this skill down and then it’s on to the next.

Always…

express your love and appreciation for those close to you.

Never…

miss an opportunity to learn from your mistakes, recognize your faults and identify areas of self-improvement.

Favorite Quote…

“Do. The. Work. Every day, you have to do something you don’t want to do. Every day. Challenge yourself to be uncomfortable, push past the apathy and laziness and fear” – Tim Grover

Biggest Dream…

winning the Fitness Olympia Title.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

people who chew their food loud, eat ice loudly or crack their knuckles.

Title: Broke college student, but hopefully that will change soon

Married/Single: About as single as it gets

Kids: No thanks, maybe later!

City you live in: Technically Tempe, but my heart is still in Boston

A typical day in my life includes…

spamming my Instagram followers with photos of my dog Ralph, attending class, completing homework and having way too much fun at my job Divaz Boutique. Come say hi!

I was born…

a demon child who would cry at the drop of a hat, sorry mom. I love you lots.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

THE SUNSETS. There is nothing quite like the sun setting in Arizona, I’ve never seen anything like it.

I’m listening to…

a lot of angsty music currently, I’m in a stage of my life where every song is somehow relatable and probably written about what I’m experiencing. Overall though my favorite artists include: The Strokes, The National, Fleet Foxes and I’m sorry but I’m on the Drake bandwagon hard.

My family…

is so incredibly supportive, I don’t know what I did in my past life to deserve this but my mom Teresa might ACTUALLY be Mother Theresa.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be

probably my grandmother, she was a congresswoman in The Philippines and I don’t think I was ever old enough to understand how vast her wisdom was before she passed. But Elon Musk would be cool too.

One thing I cannot live without…

my best friend Andiyah, shout out to you homegirl and the one time we drove through a blizzard in Massachusetts because we wanted Kentucky Fried Chicken THAT badly. You’re my soul sister.

When I was younger, I wanted to be

an actress, LOL. Who didn’t? I just loved the idea of getting to play pretend for a living.

I’m inspired by…

the every day struggle. I’m not very religious but I’m a firm believer that if there is a God he gives us the hardest battles because we are the strongest warriors. If you can overcome whatever life throws at you there is no doubt you are going to be rewarded.

The one person who motivates me is

my brother without a doubt. Sure, maybe he was the golden child but that doesn’t detract from the fact that he is the hardest working person I know. Which is reassuring because I know I’ll always have a couch to crash on if things don’t work out.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I know I should probably wish for world peace, but let’s be real the world would be a much better place if there weren’t mosquitoes.

The perfect day would be…

having absolutely no responsibilities, maybe taking a day trip with my friends where no one judges me for eating copious amounts of food, lol. Maybe doing a little shopping because let’s be real, retail therapy is a real healing tool with nothing but positive attributes. I’m just waiting for my health insurance to cover it.

My first job was…

a Taco Bell, never forget where you came from kids.

My favorite escape…

I was a serious ballet dancer for about 15 years and to this day I can’t think of a better way to get your mind off whatever you’re going through. Or traveling somewhere new!

My life…

parallels that of a soap opera. Seriously, where’s my TV show?

I’m currently working on…

my sense of autonomy. My goal is to be proud of who I am and happy with the person I have become. There is nothing more important than being confident in who you are.

Always…

be nice to people, even if you don’t think they deserve it.

Never…

say no to new experiences.

Favorite quote…

Everything heals. Your hearts heals. The mind heals. Wounds heal. Your happiness is always going to come back. Bad times don’t last”

Biggest Dream…

to be able to give back all the love and support my mother has given to me growing up. I want to be successful enough to give her a stress-free life.

My Pet Peeves…

the inability for people to empathize with their peers. You never know what someone is going through. Treat people with kindness! You could make their day.

A typical day in my life includes…

I’m an early riser; I start with devotions, exercise, then work until I’m exhausted…repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

I was born…

in 1991, in Phoenix Arizona.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

sunshine, accessibility to different scenery (Sedona, Flagstaff, trails, waterfalls etc. Arizona has a lot more to offer than most people think).

I’m listening to…

slow jams and ballads, I like to sing so anything I can sing along to. However I find music extremely distracting while working so I rarely listen to it throughout the day.

My family…

is my everything! I am #5 of 6 so I grew up with a lot of noise and chaos and wouldn’t have it any other way. Quirky detail, I’m literally Shanel #5 like the perfume so I feel like I was destined to be in fashion.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Kerry Washington, she’s beyond fabulous to me and I want some insight on Scandal!

One thing I cannot live without…

probably exercise, I feel like it just gets me in the right mindset and makes me feel amazing.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a business owner, I didn’t understand what that meant growing up but my parents have always owned their own business so that was my “normal” and I knew I wanted to do what they did just with my own twist.

I’m inspired by…

my parents, they’ve had a business for 33 years and that’s pretty amazing!

The one person who motivates me is…

can I have two? My mom and Jake: both hard working individuals who inspire me by their drive and ambition in both work and personal life. They are also two of my biggest supporters.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

peoples perception of themselves. I wish I could give everyone the confidence they need to know they truly are beautiful and unique.

The perfect day would be…

uninterrupted time with my boy doing something adventurous and not having to answer a single phone call, text, email…one can dream can’t they?!

My first job was…

working as a cashier at my parents restaurant. I’ve known how to run a cash register since I could count.

My favorite escape…

somewhere in an exotic location on a beach.

My life…

is overwhelmingly blessed, it’s busy but I enjoy what I do!

I’m currently working on…

a way to mass produce custom tees.

Always…

smile, love and forgive.

Never…

let anger fester, hold a grudge.

Favorite Quote…

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

Biggest Dream…

to produce my own clothing line designed and manufactured from scratch, by me.

Going into business with your partner is not easy! We’ve designed multiple programs and work with couples to determine which program best fits their needs.

Married/Single: Married to my hunk of a man, AZ Araujo! I am in love with his beard! LOL

Kids: Proud mother of two beautiful, smart and strong girls: Abigail (12) and Madeline (8)

City you live in: Glendale, AZ

A typical day in my life includes…

holy smokes, this is actually a question that can take up several pages! Although my day changes daily, here is a shortened and summarized version of a typical day for me: My day starts at 4:30AM with a gym session (of course!) followed by 20 minutes of reading my Bible. This is immediately followed by making breakfast, packing lunches, feeding pets, getting ready & just plain running around the house like a mad woman, LOL! I am usually out the front door by 7:30am when I take my kids to school. I train my Fit-In-12 clients starting at 8:15 until about 10-11AM, Mon-Wed-Thurs. On Tuesdays & Fridays, between 8-2PM, I have in webinars with the clients I coach. I never miss a beat in the brokerage, which means I show up to the office every day, although my times do vary. I pick up my kiddos from school around 4:30 and drive them to their daily after school activities. I am normally home by 7:30 to start dinner. After dinner we complete a little light physical activity as a family, including volleyball, basketball, walks or bicycle rides. This is one of my favorites times of the day! I’m normally in bed by 10:30pm so I can start the process all over again.

I was born…

and raised in Arizona!

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the HEAT! I love it!

I’m listening to…

God’s music. I love Christian music! I listen to it all day! I even have it on blast during my workouts; it brings strength and a world of happiness into my heart.

My family…

are my biggest supporters and loudest cheerleaders! They are the reason why I do what I do. I have been married for 13 years. My husband has been my best friend for 17 years!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my dad. He passed away 2 years ago. I wish I could sit down with him one more time to tell him how much I appreciate everything he has shown me. He was my mentor, my leader and a big reason for my success.

One thing I cannot live without…

my bible and an awesome pair of running shoes, LOL!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

an attorney! I love researching, reading and arguing my points! I love learning about new things and using what I learn in all aspects of my life.

I’m inspired by…

LIFE! The idea of the unknown can be overwhelming, but ultimately thrilling. I look forward to what’s to come. Also, my two girls inspire me—they are the inspiration and motivation for me to become the best version of me that I can be! I want them to be proud of their momma!

The one person who motivates me is…

ME! I’ve gone through a lot of difficult personal experiences in my life, but I’ve learned and grown from them and I’m happy and proud to be who I am today! I’m excited by the rapid growth of our business empire and it is great knowing how our hard work is paying off. One of my biggest personal goals was receiving an IFBB Pro card, I never gave up and eventually reached that goal! Seeing who I was then and comparing it to who I am now is my biggest drive.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

I wouldn’t want to change anything in my personal life; I just want to make a difference in someone else’s life! Knowing that leading by example and sharing my story can possibly help someone change the negative perceptions they may have of themselves, boost their self- confidence or motivate them to see the great things they’re capable of, feels incredible. I want people to know that I did it and they can too!

The perfect day would be…

riding bikes in the rain with my wonderful, bearded husband. That would be a perfect day!

My first job was…

helping my dad plaster swimming pools, best job ever! Because of that experience, I’m able to really appreciate jumping into a pool LOL. Even though the smell of plaster is awful, I have the best memories of spending time with my dad!

My favorite escape…

is my gym and listening to my Christian music.

My life…

is a blessing! I’m a mom to two beautiful daughters that are full of energy & excitement—there’s never a dull moment! I’m a business woman that doesn’t like the word “impossible”. I’m a fitness guru and a health nut. Without these two passions, I would be no good to my family – putting myself first provides me with the fuel I need to be 100% present for them. Finally, I’m married to my best friend. My husband is my teammate, my biggest cheerleader and my #1 fan! I love my crazy, unpredictable life. I am loud and laugh at my own jokes. I am the creator of all my good and sometimes not- so-good ideas that never go ignored. I am not afraid to fail…I love that about me! I am a risk taker. I am a superwoman to my family and a role model to many!

I’m currently working on…

creating different processes and systems to continue the growth of our real estate brokerage. My online coaching webinars are intense, so creating a personalized and dedicated space is vital in the growth of my coaching business. With that said, I am in the process of finishing up our studio that will be specifically dedicated to webinars and online coaching for my clients. I hope to expand this part of my life.

Always…

meditate and pray. It’s necessary to obtain a peaceful state of mind.

Never…

I never allow the failures of others to influence the decisions I make in my business or personal goals. I’ve learned to trust my own intuition!

Favorite Quote…

The only person that can make me or break me, IS ME”.

Biggest Dream…

is to become a foster parent some day! I love kiddos! It’s heartbreaking when I come across stories of children that have experienced trauma in their lives. I want to be able to foster children and help them regain their voice and laughter.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

I have lots of them, LOL! My biggest pet peeve is when I receive unsolicited advice! A lot of times, advice can really slaughter someone’s awesomeness. Only give advice if asked!
